Approach
How we actually teach.
Four principles that shape every lesson, from a first-timer’s trial class to exam prep.
No group filler. Every session is built around one student’s pace, goals, and instrument — not a fixed curriculum everyone marches through together.
Posture, technique, and ear training come first. Students who skip this stage plateau early; ours don’t.
Recitals and student showcases give lessons a purpose beyond the weekly session — a date on the calendar to work toward.
For families who want a formal benchmark, we prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity graded exams alongside regular lessons.

FAQ
Questions parents ask us first.
What age can my child start?
Little Prelude Classroom welcomes children from around 3 years old. For instrument-specific one-on-one lessons (piano, guitar, violin, etc.), most students start from age 6–7, depending on the instrument and the child.
Do I need to own an instrument before starting?
Not for a trial lesson — we have instruments in-studio. For ongoing lessons we’ll advise what’s worth having at home based on the instrument and how often your child practices.
How long is each lesson?
Standard one-on-one lessons run weekly; exact length depends on the instrument and student age. Message us on WhatsApp with your child’s age and instrument and we’ll recommend a format.
Do you prepare students for exams?
Yes — we offer ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation for students who want a formal, graded benchmark alongside regular lessons.
How do I enquire or book a trial?
The fastest way is WhatsApp — tell us your child’s age and the instrument they’re interested in, and we’ll get back to you with availability.
